Cath’s Story

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”6777″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Two years ago I was suffering so badly with my back that at times I struggled to walk to the end of my street.  I finally took the decision to go and visit my GP, hoping to be referred to a physio to get me straightened out.

Surely enough I got a series of physio appointments and was told that I have one leg longer than the other (haven’t we all?) and my back/core was no longer compensating properly for it.  We could try and strengthen my core and if that didn’t work I could have wedges in one shoe to level me back up again.

So, the physio helped somewhat but the problem is that you only see them occasionally and between sessions you’re left to your own devices,  It was repetitive and the exercises were boring.  Quite frankly I couldn’t be bothered to do them.

A friend of mine recommended I get in touch with Jayne which I did straight away and that was when things really started to improve.

The small weekly classes are not just exercises, there’s so much variety that you never know what’s coming.  They’re easy for beginners like me but also the different levels of difficulty mean that everyone feels they have achieved something.  Jayne doesn’t just focus on one area, so the repair started mostly for me by realising that your hips are just as important as your back and almost instantly I was so much better.

I no longer have any back problems at all.  In fact I have even returned to SCUBA training after 20 years!  I have been entirely unable to lift the weight of the equipment for all that time and now it’s perfectly manageable.  There’s no denying it, one hour with Jayne each week has changed my life.

I stand better, I sit better, and I walk with a smile and not a frown.  I cannot thank Jayne enough. The photo shows me, back at the poolside with my trainees on a Wednesday night!
